Modern America Campgrounds Rewards Off To A Promising Start
Modern America Campgrounds today introduced their new transient camper loyalty rewards program, Freedom Points, across their 31-park portfolio. This program aims to maximize customer savings and enhance their spending power.
The program features a tiered rewards structure where customers earn more Freedom Points as they spend more. Reward rates are based on the amount spent. At the time of purchase, customers can enter their loyalty rewards ID and choose the number of points they wish to apply to the transaction. The value of the points used will be deducted from the transaction amount.
There are four levels to the program: Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Customers start at the Silver level with spending between $0 and $500, earning back 12% in rewards. Spending between $500 and $1500 upgrades them to Gold, earning 13% back. Platinum status is attained with spending between $1500 and $3500, providing 14% back. The highest level, Diamond, requires a minimum spend of $3500, with 15% back in rewards.
Modern America custom-built the software and soft-launched the program in mid-February, yielding promising early results. This initiative has enabled the company to not only reward their customers but also drive traffic to their parks through point incentives. A “double points park” promotion significantly boosted traffic and revenue.
Hunter Vazza, a company spokesperson, stated, “This allows us to reward our customers while driving revenue and traffic where needed. The average check is significantly higher, and many people have made multiple reservations at various parks. By the end of March, we expect to have 2000 sign-ups and nearly $500K in reservations made on the platform. We anticipate around 20K sign-ups this season, with bookings reaching into the millions. It’s exciting to witness.”
The software offers deep analytics, helping Modern America better understand their customers and parks. Based in Boston, MA, Modern America operates parks in MA, RI, CT, VT, NH, and NY. The portfolio's density allows the company to provide multiple benefits to its seasonal and transient campers.
