Gearing up for the Grand Valley River Cleanup
Volunteers take to the rivers and surrounding areas to pick up trash and debris, while promoting environmental stewardship.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - Gear Junction is gearing up for its 21st annual Grand Valley River Cleanup.
The cleanup event aims to preserve local rivers, which are the heart of the Western Slope, said Ethan Ball, Director of Communications for Gear Junction.
Volunteers take to the rivers and surrounding areas to pick up trash and debris, while promoting environmental stewardship.
The spring river cleanup event is on April 19 and the fall cleanup is on September 13. It’s organized by Gear Junction, RiversEdge West and Grand Valley Paddling Club.
