One of New Jersey’s top law firms is the latest to join a recently launched coalition that aims to promote the state’s transportation, logistics and distribution industry.

In a March 12 press release, Circulate NJ welcomed Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP to its actively expanding list of 40-plus member organizations.

Established in November 2024, Circulate NJ’s roster includes top companies from across the state’s logistics industry, including port workers, warehouses, retail developers and trucking companies.

As part of its mission, the group seeks to educate the public about the sector and the role it plays in the economy using hard data and specific examples. Additionally, it seeks to engage with local communities and partner with organized labor to ensure long-lasting infrastructure for sustained job opportunities.

Founded in 1914, Greenbaum is a full-service firm made up of 100 attorneys in three New Jersey offices: Iselin, Roseland and Red Bank. Its primary areas of expertise include real estate, redevelopment/land use, and environmental issues, as well as a strong reputation for overseeing significant projects involving contaminated site remediation and brownfield cleanups.

Many of the firm’s attorneys hold leadership positions in business and legal industry groups. This includes serving as officers, board members and trustees of groups including NAIOP New Jersey; Downtown New Jersey; the New Jersey Builders Association; New Jersey Future; the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce; and New Jersey State Bar Association sections focused on real estate, land use, environmental, construction and business law, according to Circulate NJ.

Educating residents

In a statement, David Greek, chair of Circulate NJ and managing partner of Greek Real Estate Partners, said, “If you are looking for knowledge regarding the legal issues associated with New Jersey’s logistics industry, the team at Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis has seen it all.”

“Their work on behalf of clients has helped showcase what logistics means to the state. This is especially true in the area of brownfield remediation, where the logistics industry continues to be a leader. We greatly appreciate their support in joining Circulate NJ,” Greek said.

Jack Fersko, co-chair of Greenbaum’s real estate department, shared, “We are proud of Greenbaum’s long, established history in New Jersey, particularly our work in the commercial real estate, land use and environmental sectors. The logistics industry plays a key role in our state’s success, and we’ve been fortunate to partner with many of the industry’s leading companies and organizations on projects that have had a significant positive impact on the lives of New Jersey residents.”

Fersko added, “Working together through Circulate NJ, we look forward to better informing those residents about the countless benefits the logistics industry brings into play.”

Other law firms involved with Circulate NJ include Cozen O’Connor, Genova Burns LLC and Murphy Schiller & Wilkes LLP.

Within the past month, the coalition has also added the following members:

  • Solar Landscape – commercial rooftop solar developer headquartered in Asbury Park
  • Casdale Energy Cost Management – advisory firm that works with commercial facility owners and managers to uncover energy reduction opportunities
  • Atlantic Handling Systems – Fair Lawn-based supplier of material handling equipment
  • The Blau & Berg Co. – full-service commercial real estate brokerage in Short Hills

According to Circulate NJ, additional members will be announced in the coming weeks and months.
