A gangster from East Kilbride shot behind a pub in a revenge attack has taken to TikTok to taunt an underworld rival over the death of his brother, stabbed to death in Glasgow in 2022.

Ryan Chalmers aimed the rant at another thug who fled to Dubai after police issued him with a threat to life warning. Chalmers, who was shot in the legs near the Horseshoe Bar in Coatbridge in 2014, posted a series of videos to TikTok on Monday night in which he mocks his rival, who cannot be named for legal reasons, over the death of his brother.

It is understood the bitter row erupted after Chalmers stole money, the Daily Record reports. In one clip, Chalmers ranted: "He started it, but I will finish it.

"I am p*****g on top of his brother. His brother is dead. Ha ha. What are they going to do about that?

"He is a pure dafty. I told him a year and a half ago I would come and punch holes in him and he did f*** all about it."

Ryan Chalmers has been taunting his enemies and revealing his location.

In another chilling video, Chalmers reveals a location where he will be eating dinner in Glasgow city centre as he tries to goad his rival to send accomplices to attack him.

He said: "Come and see me, but I guarantee I will take one of you lot with me.

"I am going to go and get a munch in a minute so come, so you bangers will get me. They think I am hiding from them but I don't hide.

"You know where I am. I'm the middle of the city centre. Come and see me."

A third TikTok video shows Chalmers boasting about the scars on his legs from the gunshot wounds he suffered a decade ago. Chalmers, then 21, was attacked in a gangland hit two years after he was cleared of murder.

Chalmers claimed he killed Christopher Bergin, 42, in self-defence in 2012 before a jury at the High Court in Glasgow later returned a not proven verdict. Bergin died of a single stab wound to the stomach.

Lyttleton siege
The incident in Lyttleton

Chalmers was blasted with a shotgun at close range near the Horseshoe Bar in Coatbridge two years later in what officers believe was a targeted attack. The gangster has been active on Tiktok in recent years and live streamed a siege with armed cops at his home in East Kilbride last year after he got into a row with a neighbour.

Chalmers was jailed for 10 months when he admitted threatening or abusive behaviour at the house in Lyttleton on July 25. Hamilton Sheriff Court heard the neighbour was sitting on his doorstep about 6pm when topless Chalmers came out with a pick axe shaft, shouting: "I'm going to kill everyone. They can't touch me."

He called the neighbour a "grass" and challenged him to fight. Police, who'd been told that Chalmers was armed, arrived to find him threatening to "chop up" his neighbour.

He retreated indoors and began the live stream on Tiktok and attracted thousands of viewers. Armed officers arrived at 6:50pm and specialist negotiators arrived shortly afterwards.

Chalmers finally agreed to leave the house at 9:50pm. Passing down sentence, Sheriff Louise Gallacher noted he has a record for violent crime and added: "You caused considerable fear and alarm."
