The Egyptian Football Association is in talks with its counterpart in Portugal and Poland to play friendly games within preparations for the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia, the EFA board member Magdy Abdel-Ghany reported.

"We have more offers from national football teams that want to play friendly games against Egypt ahead of the World Cup finals," Abdel-Ghany told a television programme late on Sunday.

"Portugal, Poland and Belarus want to face Egypt alongside more offers from other national teams," he added.

"Marketing companies sent official offers to the Egyptian Football Association asking to organize friendly games."

"Moreover, when we were in Russia attending the 2018 World Cup draw ceremony, some officials asked us to arrange friendly games to warm up for the tournament's finals," Abdel-Ghany said.

"But until now, we have not determine the location of the Egyptian national team's preparatory camp next March for the 2018 World Cup finals," The EFA board member concluded.

The Pharaohs were paired with Saudi Arabia, hosts Russia and South American powerhouse Uruguay in Group A following last week's World Cup draw in Moscow.

Portugal were also drawn in Group B of the 2018 World Cup finals alongside Spain, Morocco and Iran. Poland are in Group H alongside Colombia, Senegal and Japan.

The 2018 World Cup finals will take place in Russia next year from 14 June to 15 July.
