Storm Anderson

Nathan Andreas
“Nathan Andreas has been a committed, passionate, versatile star in our Vocal Music program since freshman year entering our school as an impressive young vocalist with an artist-run ambition. Derin Apay

“This is Derin’s third year in choir, and also his third year on our choir council. Derin has exhibited exceptional leadership during his time here at Beckman, he is one of the most respoonsible students I have ever had the priviledge of teaching. Lal Besir
“She is a beautiful soprano, who sings expressively and intelligently. She is continuing to grow both as a musician and as an entrepreneur by taking advantage of the resources at her disposal through OCSA and her connections as a Colburn High School Fellow to build meaningful performance opportunities for herself and her peers. Additionally, Lal is sensitive to cultural trends and the need for broad representation in the arts, and she seeks out ways to raise up lesser-known voices through her performances. “One would be hard-pressed to find a harder worker than Kira Bettencourt. Kira is ALWAYS around and offering to help in any way they can. They have keen ears and pays acute attention to detail both musically and in day-to-day tasks. Taven Blanke
“Taven has taken every training opportunity at our school to improve and build upon his skills. As a student in our Advanced Music Honors and Classical Voice/Opera studies classes he has shown incredible growth and understanding. She performed as ‘Nina’ in our production of ‘In the Heights’ this year and was as good as any performer I’ve seen at this level. She has been a part of our program since she was in 7th grade (Oxford is a 7-12 school) and has always been a positive part of whatever class she is in. She is confident without being cocky and makes time to get to know the younger students, a true role model for our program.
