It's been a few years since dozens of aspiring models first battled it out to be crowned winner of reality TV show Britain's Next Top Model.

Sometimes known as Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model or abbreviated as BNTM, it first aired on Living TV before being rebooted by Lifetime in 2016. Originall narrated by Fearne Cotton, the show saw young women from across the UK and Ireland take on weekly challenges and photoshoots in a bid to impress the judges and fashion industry experts and win top prizes and a chance to start their career in the modelling industry, The ECHO previously reported.

Through the years, judges included Lisa Snowdon, Elle Mcpherson, Tyson Beckford, Julien MacDonald, model Paul Sculfor and fashion critic Hilary Alexander OBE. One of the most successful alumni is Liverpool's own Abbey Clancy, who came runner up in Cycle 2 and went on to join the judging panel from Cycle 10.

But a lot of the models went to have successful careers in and outside of the industry. From campaigns with massive fashion brands to starring in Netflix series and more, we take a look back at what all 12 winners of the series have been up to since.

This list isn't intended to be comprehensive, we've included a number of facts about each BNTM winner. But if you feel there is something we should have included, let us know in the comments section.

Lucy Ratcliffe, Cycle 1

Back in 2005, Edwina Joseph, from Bristol and Newcastle's Lucy Ratcliffe were the final two standing in the first cycle of Britain's Next Top Model, but it was former barmaid Lucy, then 20, who nabbed the top spot. Lucy's prize was a contract management and representation from Models 1, a contract with Ruby & Millie cosmetics, a fashion cover for B Magazine and another contract management from Beatrice Models in Milan.

Since then, Lucy's modelled for the likes of Michael Kors, Ellie Saab and Jenny Packham, and landed numerous covers of Tres Chic Magazine and has also appeared in Red and Cosmopolitan. After the competition, the following four years were a "whirlwind of dieting, travelling, and a 24-hours seven-days-a-week workload" that saw Lucy travelling to Paris, Milan, America and Greece and gracing the pages of top glossy magazines including Red and Company as well as appearing at The Clothes Show Live, it was previously reported.

Lucy later met boyfriend Amal Guessous, who has his own fashion label A&G and the pair bonded over their mutual love of fashion. According to Lucy's Instagram, the brand is promoted in her bio and posts and she has continued to model.

Lianna Fowler, Cycle 2

In 2006, the final two were Lianna Fowler, 18, from Derby, and now model, TV personality and wife to footballer Pete Crouch, Abbey Clancy. This time, the girls were taken to Marrakech for their international destination and the prizes were a contract with Models 1, an advertising campaign with Ford Fiesta and a cover and six page spread of Company Magazine.

Lianna was crowned the winner and went on to model for Marc Jacobs, American Apparel, Levi's and Swatch. But she now has her own set design and construction studio, named Lianna Fowler Studio.

According to her website, clients include British Vogue, Burberry, Financial Times, Soho House and more, with work often being featured on her Instagram account.

Lauren McAvoy, Cycle 3

It was a battle of the Essex girls in the final of Cycle 3, with Louise Watts, 20 and Lauren McAvoy, also 20, both making the final. in 2007. The winner was set to receive a contract with Models 1, a contract with Ruby & Millie cosmetics and a cover and 6 page spread with Company Magazine.

Lauren, a the construction and civil engineering graduate, was the Cycle 3 winner and since then has appeared in music videos for The Wanted and modelled for Babyliss, Nivea, Tommy Hilfiger, Vogue.com and Laura Ashley. She is currently signed with Nevsmodels in London and is now a mum.

Continuing to model and sharing shoots and campaigns to her Instagram account, Lauren is now a mum and has also pursued another venture. Founder of Yoga with Lauren, she also promotes weekly yoga classes and wellness retreats.

Alex Evans, Cycle 4

In 2008, judges and the prizes also changed, with the BNTM winner now expecting a contract with Models 1, a Max Factor cosmetics campaign and a six page spread in Company Magazine. In Cycle 4, new good friends Catherine Thomas, 18 from Folkestone and Alex Evans, also 18 from Cranleigh battled it out.

But Alex landed first place and has since had a cover shoot for Maxim Magazine, an online campaign with Lynx, a TV campaign for Barry M cosmetics and Nintendo Wii game Another Code R and was a rapping farmer on a TV advert for Yeo Valley.

Now going by Alexandra Evans, she has since branched into acting appearing in a music video for former Busted singer Charlie Simpson, Doctors, Silent Witness and The Coroner. According to her LinkedIn, Alexandra also starred in Hallmark Channel film, Crown for Christmas.

Mecia Simson, Cycle 5

In 2009, Cycle 5 was the first series to have the boot-camp stage with 20 semi-finalists starting the competition who were then whittled down to 13. Mecia Simson, 19 from Plymouth and Oxford's Sophie Sumner, 18, got to the final two - but Mecia was crowned winner.

She's since worked for Max Factor, ASOS and Apricot, and was also Olly Murs' love interest in his Oh My Goodness music video. According to Imdb, Mecia later started training as an actress and completed her acting degree at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in 2019, booking her first job on Brave New World.

Today, she is perhaps best known for her role as Francesca Findabair in The Witcher series on Netflix. Appearing in both series one and two on the streaming site, Mecia plays an elf who has the first elf-baby in living memory.

Tiffany Pisani, Cycle 6

In 2010, BNTM introduced its first live finale which allowed the public to vote and decide the winner of the show. The two girls to make it to the final were 18-year-old Alisha White from London and Tiffany Pisani, 18 from Attard, Malta, who was living in Wolverhampton.

Tiffany went on to win and worked for many brands including Schwarzkopf. Work has seen her travel to the likes of Paris and Hong Kong.

With over 22K followers on Instagram, today, Tiffany, who also works as a DJ and was crowned Miss Universe Malta in 2017 and represented Malta at Miss Universe that year. Tiffany has also worked with brands including ASOS, Vogue, Dove, Jimmy Choo and more.

Jade Thompson, Cycle 7

The show's name changed to Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model for Cycle 7 and the contestants were taken to Dublin before the final five were whisked off to Miami. Modelling their way to the final were Jade Thompson, 20 from Stoke on Trent and Justė Juozapaitytė, also 20, originally from Lithuania.

Jade was the winner and went on to work for Debenhams, Julien Macdonald, Levi's, Schwarzkopf and Miss Selfridge. Now signed to Talents Models, Jade goes by her married name Jade Burt.

Now a mum, in more recent years, Jade has been a parenting writer for Stoke-on-Trent Live.

Letitia Herod, Cycle 8

In 2012, Cycle 8 aired and Swansea's Emma Grattidge, 19 and Letitia Herod, 18 from Surrey made the final. But Letitia was the winner.

She's since worked for Miss Selfridge, Revlon, Joy and TRESemmé, Julien MacDonald and has had a Harper's Bazaar beauty cover and story. She has also modelled in Barcelona, Germany and Milan.

Now signed to Louisa Models, Letitia currently lives in Mexico and boasts 28K followers on Instagram. Now a mum, as well as modelling, Letitia used her platform to promote pre and post natal and Dharma yoga.

Lauren Lambert, Cycle 9

Cycle 9 aired in 2013 and had the same main prizes as more recent years, but it also included a contract with TRESemmé and an all-expenses paid shopping trip to New York. The final was down to Lauren Lambert, 23 from Surrey and 20-year-old Emma Ward from Leeds.

Lauren was crowned the lucky winner and has had campaigns for Revlon, TRESemmé and the cover of Company Magazine. Still modelling, her agent is now Jem Models and Lauren also promotes her hand-modelling account via her Instagram.

She is also founder and designer of her own swimwear range, Lauren Victoria Swim, with a collection said to be launching soon.

Chloe Keenan, Cycle 10

After a three-year break, BNTM was back on our screen in 2016, but this time on Lifetime with former Cycle 2 contestant Abbey Clancy joining the panel. The coveted prize that year was a a contract with Models and a campaign in Boots with Head & Shoulders and a fashion spread in Cosmopolitan.

In the final was Jessica Workman from Chester, Angel Cole from London and Chloe Keenan, 22, originally from Conwy. But it was Chloe who won and became the first Welsh winner of the franchise.

Still modelling, Chloe has since appeared in theatre and became an Opera graduate from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. She has pursued acting, appearing in the likes of Britannia II.

Olivia Wardell, Cycle 11

Cycle 11 of BNTM aired in 2017, with prizes including a modelling contract with Models 1, a fashion spread in Cosmopolitan magazine, nation-wide advertising campaigns for Sleek Makeup. Runner-up Jennifer Malengele from London missed out on the top spot, when Olivia Wrdell, then 19, was crowned Britain's Next Top Model.

Olivia, from Hampshire, beat 11 other contestants to win the coveted prize, which also included high-profile fashion campaigns with Boohoo and Dorothy Perkins. Olivia has since starred in fashion spreads for FY magazine, Phoenix magazine and Wonderland.

She has also done campaigns for Ellesse UK, Vogue Italia, ByVarga and more.

Ivy Watson, Cycle 12

In 2017, Cycle 12 was the last season of BNTM to air before the show was axed. The prizes were similar to the year prior, but instead included nationwide campaigns for the likes of Show Beauty and Missguided.

Ivy Watson, 22, from Lincoln, battled it out with fellow contestants Eleanor Sippings and Kira MacLean to be crowned the winner. Now represented by Duo Model Management, Ivy has worked with brands such as Miss Selfridge, Topshop, Amazon, GHD, ASOS.

More recently, Ivy has modelled for Dior and Rimmel London.
