Publicis Media Services has announced key appointments in Data Sciences & Performance Marketing, in line with its focus on scaled, future-facing solutions and data driven decision-making that delivers maximum impact for brands.                                                                                                                                                                 

Rajesh Viswanath joins as Senior Vice President, Data Sciences, while Vivek Tyagi has been brought in as the Head of Performance Marketing.

Viswanath comes with 19 years of experience in the M&E and BFSI verticals and has worked with companies such as SG Analytics, Citiustech and GENPACT. In his new role at Publicis Media Services, he will help enhance and embed analytics into integrated client solutions, underpinning data across all services and generating unparalleled business value. He will develop further the suite of tools, research, advanced analytics approaches and place data and analytics at the heart and centre of all marketing strategies for brands.

Tyagi has over a decade of rich experience across marketing services – he has spent almost 7 years with Publicis Groupe agencies Zenith and Performics. His last stint was with Liv, a lifestyle banking app by by Emirates NBD. In his new role at Publicis Media Services, Tyagi will be responsible for strengthening the performance marketing proposition and offering, by harnessing the power of data and technology. He will also work with Publicis Consulting to help clients transition their performance marketing to a cookie-less yet increasingly digitally active future.

Both Viswanath and Tyagi will report to Tanmay Mohanty, CEO, Publicis Media Services India.

Amitosh Pal has been appointed as the Branch Head – Indian Languages ( Hindi + Language Cluster ) (East) & Business Head – News18 Bangla, Odiya, Assamese.

Pal joined the network from ABP Network, where he was AVP and National Head for ABP Ananda.  Pal is an experienced media sales professional with a career spanning 25 years, predominantly with ABP Network for the last 19 years. He has also held important positions at Zee Network, Siti Cable Network, and Tata Infomedia. Pal has diverse interests outside work, including academics, negotiation studies, and travelling.

At Network18, he will lead the effort to establish News18 Bangla as a preferred choice for advertising for all brands and agencies along with leading sales efforts for Assam and Odiya. He will also lead the monetisation initiative for News18 India for the east markets and scale revenue for News18 India from these states. All existing revenue teams of Bangla, Assam, Odiya and HSM from these markets will align with him.

Pal will report to Munish Atrey.

Publicis India has appointed Aman Mannan and Shitu Patil as joint National Creative Directors (NCDs).

In their new roles, the duo will lead the creative vision for all brands at Publicis India, and report to Managing Director, Oindrila Roy.

Aman Mannan has nearly 25 years of experience across leading agencies such as Interface Communication, McCann Erickson, DDB Mudra Group, and Leo Burnett India.

A dynamic creative leader with 23 years of advertising and branding experience, Shitu Patil joined L&K Saatchi & Saatchi in 2022, starting her second stint with the Groupe. She has worked with leading agencies like Lowe Lintas, FCB and Publicis Ambience.

In the new roles as NCDs, Aman and Shitu will leverage their expertise to lead the agency's creative vision across all offices in India.

Carmaker Maruti Suzuki has announced a reshuffling in its leadership in its latest regulatory filing. Shashank Srivastava has been replaced by Partho Banerjee as the company's new Head of Marketing and Sales. Banerjee was previously the Head-Service.

Srivastava is now designated as a Member of the Executive Committee. The changes in the Senior Management Personnel will come into effect from April 1, 2024.

Banerjee has been with MSIL for the past 34 years where he began his career. He has worked across various verticals in MSIL including Sales, Marketing and Production Engineering. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Technology from IIT, Kanpur.

Ram Suresh Akella will be taking over from Banerjee as the new Head of Service. Akella is presently Executive Officer in Marketing Vertical. He has been with MSIL for over 31 years where he began his career. He has worked in various areas such as Sales and Network Head at Arena channel, Commercial Business head of South region. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Andhra University and an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.

ShareChat has announced the appointment of Kartik Patiar as the Senior Director leading the Online and Media & Entertainment verticals nationally for ShareChat and Moj. In his new role, Kartik will be a part of ShareChat’s Business Team. 
 
“With a diverse experience of over 16 years across multiple sectors and industries, Kartik was previously responsible for driving the Revenue Charter at Disney+ Hotstar, as Director for LCS Sales. He has been associated with e-commerce, e-classified and food-tech industry with likes of Flipkart, OLX and Swiggy respectively, where he straddled between Business, Growth and Marketing roles. Additionally, his previous stints also include – Lenovo, Asia Pacific where he led Marketing strategy for the Asia Pacific region and has also worked with the FMCG major Mondelez in the early part of his career. He is very passionate about the Consumer Tech and Internet commerce ecosystem in India,” the company shared.
