Iconic dancehall-reggae artiste Pliers has released a new video for his new single, 'In It to Win It', which is doing well in local and overseas markets.

"The song is getting great airplay in the United Kingdom and the United States and even on local stations in Jamaica, so this video will push the promotion to the next level," he said.

The executive producers of the song are Stephen 'Lenky' Marsden and Pliers. The rhythm was produced by Lenky, while the song will be distributed by Zojak World Wide.

Meanwhile, Pliers and Chaka Demus left the island on Wednesday to do an interview on BBC radio on the single. The duo is also booked to perform on a show alongside Shaggy and Maxi Priest in the UK this weekend.

The pair is also scheduled to appear for the first time on the 'Shaggy and Friends' biannual charity concert on January 6.

"This is the first time I am doing it. I believe it is a very important show for the kids. In fact, any charity for the Bustamante Hospital for Children is a worthy cause [because] the institution helps a lot of poor people who cannot afford it, and it helps to save the kids' lives. It is important for all the artistes to do it," Pliers said.

Pliers has been a seminal figure in dancehall-reggae for several years. He is still reaping success with his collaborative single, Murder She Wrote alongside Chaka Demus, as the sample requests for the double, Platinum-selling single continue to mount from artistes all over the world.
